He later became a technician for Atari and eventually the CEO of Apple.


JK Rowling

Her Harry Potter series have gained her millions, and have inspired a lot of people all over the world. While writing this popular story, she experienced depression and even had suicidal tendencies. It was not a magical ride for JK Rowling. Being a single parent and having no stable source of income, she battled poverty and difficulties. But her writing talent and the support of people around her made her overcome everything. Harry Potter was born, and the continues to live.


Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey was born in rural Mississippi to a young teenage mom. She had to endure wearing potato sacks for clothes made to her by her grandmother as they were really dirt poor. When her mom and she moved to Milwaukee, she was sexually abused and was into a lot of pain. She then ran away when she was only 13, and got pregnant the year after. Her baby though did not survive.

Her life changed after she transferred to Tennessee and lived with a family friend. At that time, she studied hard, was active at school, was a student leader and later became the one of the most successful media personalities. And of course, the richest.


Manny Pacquiao

Manny Pacquiao and his family were dirt poor they could not even afford to eat rice. The lived on bread, bananas and root crops. When his father left his mother and their family, he helped his mom by doing odd jobs to have something to eat. His uncle introduced him to boxing. They trained and entered boxing matches in their hometown. His uncle believes his dedication and discipline would make him a champion. Manny had also ran away from home, lived on the streets and sold doughnuts to survive. His dedication for boxing never waned and he later became a professional. He won titles in eight different boxing divisions and is now one of the wealthiest athletes in the world. His rags to riches story is an inspiration to all, and even for him and his family, it was like a dream.


Walt Disney
