Afghanistan was a peace loving country way back in 1950-1960’s, the country was walking into the steps of modernization while maintaining a respect for more conservative factions . The country was stable and progressing well.

Wearing burkas had become optional,western lifestyles were being adopted,country was open to liberal ideas.People lived in harmony and exercised there rights.

But in late 1970’s the scenario changed drastically with as series of invasions and civil wars things. from which Afghanistan hasn’t yet fully recovered.

 

 

This infant ward in a Kabul hospital in the 1960’s . Today, nearly one in four babies born in Afghanistan does not reach its fifth birthday.
