What’s common between Pokemon Go and Syria crisis… nothing. Both topics are completely different and cannot be compared, one is a virtual gaming world and the other is real collapsed world. With the ongoing crisis in Syria, which has completely devastated the life of the people out there with almost none or a very little hope that the things would be better someday.
Where as if we talk about Pokemon go, it’s the current trend that has grasped million of peoples’ attention. Itsa location-based, virtual reality game for mobile devices developed by Niantic for iOS and Android operating systems. Allowing Pokemon Go player’s to find and catch Pokemon species hiding in their surrounding.
With the current popularity of the Pokemon Go, few of the inspiring artists, designer and activist around the world have found a unique way to draw the world’s attention towards Syrian crisis with the help of Pokemon Go. Khaled Akil, Saif Aldeen Tahhan and Moustafa Jano Janographic are amongst those inspiring artists and designer who have beautifully illustrated the war torn Syria and the effects of it on Pokemon Go characters. The images hold a strong message asking the Pokemon Go fanatic gamer’s to take a break from hunting for digital creatures and instead turn their attention to helping Syrian families trapped in war zones.
