Tiina Törmänen is a nature photographer, born and based in Lapland, Finland who captures this winter season beauty in her fantastic photographs of Finland under the northern lights.
Each expertly shot photo depicts a different awe-inspiring aspect of Törmänen’s stunning surroundings. Set against the shimmering blues, greens, and purples of the Aurora borealis, the scenes offer a glimpse into life in Lapland. To get each shot, Törmänen set her Canon 5D Mark III on a tripod and used a timer to delay the shutter. She then walked out into position and moved her headlamp slightly to create a patch of light instead of a solitary beam.
